In Romans 8, we are reminded that we have been adopted into the family of God and we are joint-heirs with Jesus Christ. We are not slaves and servants in his field, but rather Join-Heirs in the Kingdom. This carries a different attitude and relationship with the Father than a servant does.
In the parable of the Prodigal Son, Jesus illustrates the attitudes of 2 brothers and their relationship with the Father. One of them understands who he is, and the other doesn't. One acts like a son and the other doesn't. Both make terrible mistakes, and both are shown love and grace that they don't deserve. This is what makes the love of our Father so amazing.
Join us as we look at this parable and pull out some timeless truths that will help us to grow in our relationship with God today.
